Check it out babe.
I did this drawing after my last serious breakup. I actually did it while I was in Nantucket with my parents, sitting around their cottage depressed. I wrote the following caption to it (maybe it's a poem):
"Our love was dead and buried, but we dug it up and tried to bring it back.
And the reanimated corpse of our love resembled what we once had. It had the same features and it could be confused for our love from a distance.
But it was dead, and it was eating me. "
I eventually cut it out of my sketchbook, put it in a little frame, and gave it to a friend who helped me get through it.
Isn't it fun to talk about our ex's? We should do that more often.
